About the Program
The New York Peer Advancement Network (NY-PAN) is a partnership between the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) and the National Association of Peer Supporters (N.A.P.S.). This mission of this program is to grow the peer support profession by promoting the inclusion of peer specialists throughout healthcare and other community systems throughout the state of New York.
NY-PAN participants receive an N.A.P.S. professional membership at no cost.
Qualifications
To participate, you must be a peer specialist living or providing services in New York and have either earned or are pursuing one or more of the following credentials in New York:
- Certified Peer Specialist (NY-CPS)
- State Family Peer Advocate Credential (FPA-C)
- Youth Peer Advocate Credential (YPA-C)
