POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for providing individual PSR services for program participants with severe/chronic mental illness in order to help them improve functioning and meet their goals. Provides outreach strategies to engage participants in services. Conducts comprehensive mental health assessments to determine service needs, formulates treatment plans, and implements intervention strategies. Monitors participants’ symptoms and progress regularly. Provides clinical and individual/group PSR services. Provides crisis intervention services in consultation with program supervisor. Coordinates and links participants with needed services and community resources. Works as part of a multidisciplinary team in provision of services. Documents all services using program protocols.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field.
- Bilingual Spanish/English required.
- Prior experience in the mental health or substance use field preferred.
- Experience working with multi-ethnic populations preferred.
- Flexibility to work on weekends, evenings, holidays during emergencies when assigned to the rotating emergency cell phone.
